Our Need
The Bible tells us that every person has a problem we cannot fix on our own:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23
Sin separates us from God and keeps us from living in the fullness He intended.
God’s Love
Even in our brokenness, God did not abandon us. Instead, He showed us incredible love:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8
Jesus willingly gave His life so we could be forgiven and restored to God.
The Gift of Life
Sin leads to death—but God offers something far greater:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23
Eternal life is not something we earn. It is a gift, given through Jesus Christ.
Freedom in Christ
When we place our faith in Jesus, our past no longer defines us:
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
— Romans 8:1
In Christ, we are forgiven, made new, and set free.
How to Respond
The Bible clearly explains how we receive this gift of salvation:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
— Romans 10:9
“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
— Romans 10:10
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
— Romans 10:13
Salvation begins with believing in Jesus and calling on Him in faith.
A Simple Prayer
If you are ready to place your trust in Jesus, you can pray something like this:
Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need You.
I believe You died for me and rose again.
I confess You as Lord of my life.
Please forgive me, make me new, and lead me from this day forward.
Amen.
